Corporate Buddy Renews again! Brigham and Women's Hospital has again agreed to be the ongoing Corporate Buddy of Mission Hill Main Streets. At an event at Penguin Pizza on May 17th, President of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Gary Gottlieb, presented MHMS's director, Maggie Cohn, with a giant representative check for $15,000. This is a commitment of funds for an additional $15,000 in 2008 as well. In addition to this donation MHMS was granted $5,000 for 2007, as well as $5,000 for 2008, contributed by Harvard University, Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard School of Medicine. All of these institutions has a large presence in the neighborhood surrounding Mission Hill.
Brigham and Women's Hospital has announced that it will continue as the "Corporate Buddy" of Mission Hill Main Streets. At a press conference and check presentation on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, BWH CEO Dr. Gary Gottlieb presented MHMS Executive Director Maggie Cohn with the first of two checks for $15,000. Harvard University, including Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, agreed to contribute an annual matching gift of $5,000 each year. .
